The playing field for early childhood advocacy is larger than any particular city or state. Every issue is national because the life of every child is tied to those of the other youngsters who benefit from our work. Just Beginning provides early childhood development experts and advocates with the information they need to stay abreast of upcoming events, ongoing litigation and other developments throughout the United States.

It's an exciting time for people who are working in Early Childhood Development. The Youth Law Center's Just Beginning young children at risk program is directly involved with a number of research and policy reform projects across the nation.
This section will soon reflect an important insiders view of a number of collaborations that highlight the successes and challenges of these efforts.
Just Beginning programs seek to change Child Welfare policy by cooperation between the people who have the greatest potential to impact the lives of the children they protect and care for. When such cooperation proves difficult or impossible legal action is called for.
The cases you will find here reflect the most significant successes on behalf of children's rights on legal fronts.
